Quail Eggs (or Caille and Oeuf)

Sick of giving Blizzard my money and wanting to show, once again, my deep love of all things troll, I created Caille (the troll hunter) on Burning Blade instead of transfering Arco (the blood elf hunter) from Eonar.  I know this is going to be a long-ish grind (or maybe it won’t…  it IS a hunter afterall), but I miss those big ugly blue feet damnit!

In other news, I continue to be impressed by my mage Eau and how few upgrades add so much DPS.  Looking back on the blog a few weeks ago, I was happy to be pulling 3k on bosses in Naxxramas.  Now that I have a mainhand, offhand, belt, and -something else I can’t remember- from 10-man Ulduar, I did almost 5k on Patchwerk the last time I ran 25-man Naxx!  (She also became Eau the Seeker recently…  still can’t decide if Loremaster Eau is a better title though…)  Plus I am super excited about the news that living bomb will be able to be applied to multiple targets with the next patch, so it’ll be a big boost to AoE DPS and function probably a little more like seed of corruption.  Speaking of the patch, when the hell is it going to come out?  I have heard rumors of early August, and I’m not sure that the druid I made can stand being level 1 much longer!

Anyway, I haven’t been playing much lately because I am currently in Hawaii for a family vacation!  🙂

New gear!

Today in ZA I was able to get Tuskbreaker aftet months and months of wanting it and never having it drop for my hunter.  I know the cross bow from badges is better, but I don’t care – I love this thing.  I also changed out some of my gear because I was over the hit cap because of some new boots I got on Hyjal a couple nights ago.

The items I changed into:

Chest – Arrowfall Chestguard – This was already in my bank, but I decided to experiment a little more with haste now that I’m using the Tuskbreaker.

Hands – Gauntlets of Rapidity – Badge reward I decided to get; I was saving the badges for the cross bow, but changed my mind.

Finger – Angelista’s Revenge – same explanation as hands.

Feet – Quickstrider Moccasins – the ones I got in Hyjal, they’re pretty sweet and have skulls on them if you look hard enough! Haha!

In related news, ZA has been massively nerfed and we have all been massively buffed.  It’s not even challenging in any way anymore.  I’ve practically demoted it to Kara-farm status in my mind.

In other related news, hunters are way OP now.  I’m not calling for a nerf, but I feel one coming.

In completely non-related news, a made a new character on the Moonguard server – a Draenei Shaman named Xunni.  I’m thinking of leveling her elemental and yes, I know, I’m a masochist.

New pet, the patch, etc.

I got an awesome new pet!

It’s Wasp and Mini-me!  Thanks for the Kodak moment, Raven!  Haha!

The Wasp (I haven’t thought of a better name for it yet) is a ferocity pet, which means it’s a damage dealing pet.  I haven’t really bothered to get it to 70, so I had to do Hyjal last night with my old kittie, Olivia.  I broke 1600 dps on the first boss, which is pretty cool, and were able one shot the third boss on first attempt ever too, which is also pretty cool.

Tonight we did the Jenkins! title, which basically involves going into UBRS and killing at least 50 whelps in 15 seconds or less.  Obviously, the internet crashed right as we did it (thanks dorm!), but Nick and I still got the achievement.  We were going to get a Kara run together after that, but the world screwed up and people got sent into limbo when they were trying to zone in.  Thanks Blizz!

Any good ideas for a wasp name anyone?

I forgot to say what my new build is!  I am currently 51/10/00 (Beast Mastery/Marksmanship/Survival).  The points I took are as follows: in BM – Improved Aspect of the Hawk (5/5), Endurance Training (5/5), Focused Fire (2/2), Improved Revive Pet (2/2), Aspect Mastery (1/1), Unleashed Fury (5/5), Ferocity (5/5), Intimidation (1/1), Animal Handler (2/2), Frenzy (4/5), Ferocious Inspiration (3/3), Bestial Wrath (1/1), Serpent’s Switfness (5/5), Longevity (3/3), The Beast Within (1/1), Kindred Spirits (5/5), Beast Mastery (1/1); in MM – Lethal Shots (5/5), Mortal Shots (5/5).  This isn’t any spec I looked up, I just kind of took points wherever it seemed right (I did mess up once and therefore my “free” respec wasn’t really free, haha).
